An Iowa Native, Ms. Thoreson began her broadcasting career in Breckenridge, Colorado at KSMT Radio and Television. She went on to become the News Director and Morning Show Co-Host at KSKE in Vail. During this time, she garnered a number of accolades, including Best Regularly Scheduled Newscast, Best PSA and Best Lifestyle program awards from The Colorado Broadcaster’s Association. She was also honored with a Best Newscast award from The Colorado Associated Press.
Ms. Thoreson voiced daily ski reports as a Marketing Consultant to Breckenridge and Keystone Resorts, and wrote a weekly music column in Telluride, Colorado.
Ms. Thoreson is an accomplished musician who has shared the stage with legendary performers through the years. She was inducted into the Iowa Rock ’n Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, and serves on the Board of Directors for The Iowa Rock ’n Roll Music Association.
She resides in Okoboji, where she enjoys time with friends and family and enjoys many outdoor activities in the Iowa Great Lakes.
